APPLICATION PROCESS

Anyone interested in joining Bonnyton Golf Club should first complete an application form - this can be obtained from the Club by calling 01355 303030 or a printable form can be downloaded here.

Candidates must be proposed and seconded by two existing Full Members of at least 2 years standing, each of whom must also submit letters of reference to the Club office.

The application form is then posted on the Club notice board for 2 weeks to allow for objections.

When a suitable vacancy arises applicants are invited to an interview with the Membership Committee. If considered suitable, the candidate will be asked to remit the relevant fees upon receipt of which the applicant will be admitted to membership.



PERMITTED PLAYING TIMES

FULL, LIFE, STUDENT,
YOUTH & CONCESSIONS

Play allowed any day from 7.30am (summer) or 8.00am (winter) except Wednesdays (summer) when no starting is allowed between 9.30am and 11.00am (Ladies' Medal)


ASSOCIATE MEMBERS

Summer 
Saturday: no play before 2.00pm
Sunday: no play before 3.00pm
Sunday Medals: play after 1.00pm
Tuesday: tee-off up to 4.00pm
Other days: tee-off up to 5.30pm

Winter 
Weekends: no play before 1.00pm

Statutory Holidays and Monday Holidays
Play after 11.00am


JUNIOR MEMBERS

Summer 
Monday: play all day
Tuesday: play after 7.00pm
(Juniors with single-figure handicaps can play in Gents Optional Medals after 11.00am)
Wed., Thurs., Fri.: play all day
Saturday: play after 2.30pm
Sunday: play after 3.00pm

Winter 
Mon, Wed, Thurs and Fri: 8.30am - 4.30pm
Sat. & Sun.: play after 11.00am
Tuesday: no play allowed

Statutory Holidays and Monday Holidays
Play after 11.30am



Membership

Bonnyton Golf Club welcomes Members in a range of categories depending on the Member's age and playing commitment.

The most common Membership categories are:

Category |  FULL MEMBER

Full Membership is open to golfers aged 25 years and over. Members in this category have full, unrestricted access to the Course and Clubhouse at Bonnyton

Features of Full Membership
  • Unrestricted access to the Course
  • Full use of all Clubhouse facilities
  • Establish an official SGU handicap
  • Entry to a range of organised competitions
  • Introduce 6 playing guests free-of-charge per year
  • Sign-in facility for up to 3 guests at a time
  • Reciprocal playing privileges at a range of local courses
  • Access to Clubhouse facilities for private functions
FULL MEMBER CATEGORY STATUS: VACANCIES

Associate Membership is open to golfers aged 25 years and over. Members in this category have full access to the Clubhouse but enjoy restricted playing times

Features of Associate Membership
  • Restricted access to the Course - see left for permitted playing times
  • Full use of all Clubhouse facilities
  • Establish an official SGU handicap
  • Entry to a range of organised competitions
  • Introduce 4 playing guests free-of-charge per year
  • Sign-in facility for up to 3 guests at a time
  • Reciprocal playing privileges at a range of local courses
  • Access to Clubhouse facilities for private functions
ASSOCIATE MEMBER CATEGORY STATUS: VACANCIES

Young golfers may join as a Junior from the age of 13 years (11 years if a parent is already a Member) and may play at specific times

Features of Junior Membership
  • Restricted access to the Course - see left for permitted playing times
  • Use of upstairs lounge in Clubhouse
  • Establish an official SGU handicap
  • Entry to a range of organised Junior competitions
  • Juniors must transfer to Youth category at 18 years of age
JUNIOR MEMBER CATEGORY STATUS: VACANCIES

Youth Membership is available to golfers aged between 18 and 25 years

Features of Youth Membership
  • Unrestricted access to the Course, otherwise as Junior Membership above
  • Must transfer to Senior Membership at 25 years of age

Country Membership is open to golfers whose principal home residence is at least 100 miles from Bonnyton

Features of Country Membership
  • Access to the Course for 12 rounds of golf per year
  • Full use of all Clubhouse facilities
  • Entry to Medal competitions (not eligible to win)
  • Establish an official SGU handicap
  • Sign-in facility for up to 3 guests at a time
